Charlotte Hyde is a Deaf Activist and Award-Winning Accessibility Advocate.

After graduating from the University of Reading in 2020 with a BA in English Literature and completing her term as Disabled Students’ Officer at Reading University Students’ Union, Charlotte decided to continue her activism online through social media.

Charlotte has had a number of popular Twitter threads – some of which have accumulated over 200,000 impressions and over 3,000 likes. She talks about her experiences of deafness, disability and academia.

Charlotte is currently studying MA Museum and Heritage Development at Nottingham Trent University.
